I’d forgotten about this until this morning’s post on Philip’s infatuation with solar panels and other real life Grids.

In 7 days it will be one year since Pip Linden posted on the Second Life blog. At the time, he said the following:

“We need to create new and different ways to communicate more often and more clearly with the community. For my part, I will start writing monthly blog posts like this to let you know about some of things that are on my mind.”

Now, it’s not as if M came in and took over the task of monthly blogs. M Linden didn’t arrive until May 20th, 6 months following Philip’s promise to the Second Life Residents.

Does it matter? Maybe not. You tell me. But regardless, I’ll still mark the one year anniversary of when Philip last used channels other than unaffiliated Web sites and press interviews at non-virtual-world conferences to communicate. (With the exception, I guess, of the pseudo press conference that was SL5B) by donning noob hair and turning off my AO.
