It probably wouldn't take much to make it work with the existing joystick code, the old Mighty Mouse already gets detected erroneously as a joystick device at times as it is.

In case it helps anyone - I found something that maps click and key combinations onto mouse buttons in Windows. It's free too! Get it here: http://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/XMouseButtonControl.htm

Note that this doesn't work (yet) with Magic Mouse, but will recognise Apple's (former) Mighty Mouse and allow full use of that - as well as any other mouse of course.

Look out for updates to USB Overdrive (Mac only - www.usboverdrive.com ) to enable re-mapping of Magic Mouse gestures. I already use this to re-map SL keystrokes to my multi-button mouse and it's totally indispensable, can't function without it. I'm trying to find something that does the same thing on Windows and coming up blank, altho' it must exist somewhere...

Apple will already have Windows drivers in development for the Magic Mouse because they'll need to make it compatible with Mac's switching into 'doze in Bootcamp - so they should appear before long.
