and yes. Life 2.0 – havnt see it- but i “understand” its a documentary–so “fair use” could be applied to others IP inside. …

Probably the easiest way around that would be to create the display in OpenSim, create a machinima and display it in SL.

As Metanomics is in Second Life right now, we want the displays to be available for attendees of the show.

why not allow entrants to use open sims where they dont have to give up rights to their works –just to display them in 3d online.. since that IS the only viable and ethical – future of any metavisions.

Losing control of copyright/license control is not a future that encourages any commercial creative work.

I for one am mulling over not to place any “new” original works in SL under the new TOS. The value and fairness to me the designer is now totally lost.

As for any client work, I no longer can suggest for them to use SL. The screenshot/machinima license is just that unethical to those who make the content others were meant to enjoy.

I notice this blog is CC but non commercial, LL should at minimum proclaim the same thing for works others create for resale within the platform.
