Oprah Buys Film About Second Life for New Network

Although the Oprah Winfrey show will still run more than a year into fall of 2011, her new network, the imaginatively-named Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) has been in high PR gear lately, plugging itself for its launch in January of 2011. One of its recent acquisitions is Life 2.0, a film by Jason Spingarn-Koff in which the director creates an avatar and explores Second Life and the users therein.

The film will air as part of the new network’s documentary film club strand and will air once a month, according to C21. Life 2.0 becomes the second film picked up for this series behind Family Affair, a film about incest. The topics, we assume, are completely unrelated (this may be Las Vegas but Zindra isn’t all that).
