I wrote this ahead of the announcement that Philip was being replaced as CEO of Linden Labs. Philip's initial vision has been partially co-opted by a lack of a coherent operational and marketing strategy. Enamored with the technology and with possibilities, Rosedale has led Second Life to where it needs to be in the first phases of its evolution.
