Science Roll recently hosted the 23andMe personalized genetics event in SL and wrote up a summary of what transpired. Two members of 23andMe’s editorial staff - Erin Cline Davis and Joyce Tung, both PhDs - ran the presentation. The content went into depth about genetics, something called an SNP chip (a chip that analyzes genetic data) and about how 23andMe is preparing to “show how the multimedia capabilities of the Web can really enhance health research… People can actually see what the latest research might mean for them.”
