Realtors in New Jersey have jumped into the SL fray, hoping that SL and other online tools will drive the next curve of home buying and selling.
“We can’t limit ourselves to the typical magazine or weekly e-mail,” said Jarrod Grasso, the executive VP of the New Jersey Association of Realtors in the Press of Atlantic City. “We have to go way beyond that.”
To that end, the association is developing an SL presence - currently unfinished - that it hopes will draw in potential customers, some of whom will be SL users.
“We look at it as an opportunity to market ourselves to the people in Second Life,” he said. The association is also reaching out digitally through Facebook, LinkedIn, and has created an RSS feed for its Web site. All signs that the real estate recovery could start, paradoxically, online.
