Apple has been awarded a continuation patent that points to the company continuing its deep push into the virtual world/virtual shopping arena.
Back in February of this year, Apple won a patent from the US Patent and Trademark Office entitled “3D Virtual Apple Store,” as reported on Patently Apple. But just this past week the company was given a continuation patent called the “Enhancing Online Shopping Atmosphere” that involves a 3D component that includes support from live Apple reps.
As PatentlyApple notes, “Apple’s continual push on this front, at minimum, shows us that they’re keeping this interesting project alive.”
